What Is Tahap Keseluruhan CEFR Bahasa Inggeris on My SPM Result Slip? | I got this question from my cousin when she first received her result; truth be told, I have no idea. No one in my nuclear family is in school anymore so I don't have any urge to keep up with anything school-related.
However, after scouring the net, I found a video and diagrams explaining CEFR. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.
While I do understand the explanation because it makes so much sense to me (thanks, IELTS), I am not sure how it actually works with the new format of English 1119 since do not know the new format. I assume you will be evaluated through four components; listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The average mark of each component will make up the level of your CEFR.
I will use myself as an example by using my IELTS score that I took almost eleven years ago; my CEFR level would be C1 since I scored 7.5 overall. However, my CEFR level for each component varied since I had different scores for each component.
CEFR level: C1

DeleteHi. Saya SPM tahun 2010. Saya rasa orang ambil SPM around 2010 (sebelum or selepas) memang takde CEFR. Masa tu kalau SPM dapat GCE-O certificate untuk English.
