K-Street, SS15, Subang Jaya

K-Street. SS15, Subang Jaya formerly known as The Street Cafe, SS15 was the first Korean restaurant that I have ever visited in Malaysia. I first went to the K-Street a few days before I finished my CPU program back in 2012. Ever since that, I find myself coming to the restaurant at least once every few years :)

Good to know
As everybody knows, it is hard to find a parking spot at SS15. Thankfully, K-Street has a few parking spots reserved for their customers. I think you need to ask the person in charge if you are thinking of using the parking spots. I have yet to use the reserved parking spots as my sister and I tend to use public transportation to go to SS15, Also, we were quite lucky as we tend to get a parking spot whenever we were at SS15.

My sister and I kept sitting at this booth. lol. I sat here with my friends when I first came to the K-Street years ago. You can even find my handwritten note here. Spoiler alert: It's not about K-anything at all! If you're not a fan of duduk bersila, fret not as they have regular tables and chairs.

Tip: If you come with your family or friends and want to have fun, do sit on the second floor as they have board games, UNO Stacko, UNO Card, and props for photos!

Table full of food @ K-Street, SS15, Subang Jaya or The Street Cafe, SS15 Subang Jaya

I have tried quite a few things here as I've been here quite a few times. However, on this particular visit (I think this was last year), I decided to try a few new things on their menu.

TokGalbi Rice Set @ K-Street, SS15, Subang Jaya or The Street Cafe, SS15 Subang Jaya
TokGalbi Rice Set
MYR 25.90

The TokGalbi Rice Set was just an okay overall, I would say. The portion was big, so insya Allah you'll feel full but the taste was quite so-so? Definitely not on my list for the next time. Having said that, the Tokgalbi was huge and thick! :)

Bulgogi (BBQ Beef) Lunch Box @ K-Street, SS15, Subang Jaya or The Street Cafe, SS15 Subang Jaya
Bulgogi (BBQ Beef) Lunch Box
MYR 15.90

This Bulgogi (BBQ Beef) Lunch box was my sister's. I kinda liked this one. It was a simple dish but we both were fully satisfied. My sister had a problem finishing this off as she was too full. In my opinion, it was because the amount of rice they put was a little bit too much.

Korean BBQ, Spicy BBQ & On Fire Fried Chicken Sticks @ K-Street, SS15, Subang Jaya or The Street Cafe, SS15 Subang Jaya
Korean BBQ, Spicy BBQ & On Fire Fried Chicken Sticks
MYR 6.90/stick

These chicken sticks were my all-time favourites! I always, always, always order them whenever I come here. They were so delicious, though they can be a bit drying at times. My favourite among the three of them was On Fire Fried Chicken Stick. So, so good! Having said that, it can be a little bit spicy. So, please be cautious especially if you don't mesh well with spicy food.

Octopus & Shrimp Pajeon @ K-Street, SS15, Subang Jaya or The Street Cafe, SS15 Subang Jaya
Octopus & Shrimp Pajeon
MYR 15.90

This Octopus & Shrimp Pajeon was a new thing for me. It was my first time eating pajeon made of eggs. All the pajeon that I have eaten before was made from flour (or at least I think so). I was kinda weirded out by the taste initially but found it quite okay after that. For me, it was more like fried egg with a lot of ingredients than pajeon. My sister loved it so much so there's that.

Watermelon Juice & Iced Green Tea @ K-Street, SS15, Subang Jaya or The Street Cafe, SS15 Subang Jaya
Watermelon Juice & Iced Green Tea
MYR 7.90 for the watermelon juice
Iced green tea was free as it was a part of the TokGalbi Rice Set

The watermelon juice was good, just like how watermelon juice should be. I didn't fancy the iced green tea so much because I don't like green tea in general.

Though my experience this time was average, I still love K-Street, SS15 because they do have things that I like (I didn't order them on this particular visit). After all, it was the first Korean restaurant that I had ever been to in my life. However, I do find the price point a little bit high for my liking. Wish the price was a bit lower.
