That One Time I Met a Canadian Guy Who Can Speak Bahasa Indonesia

This post was first published on April 22, 2015 on one of my older blogs. Decided to repost it here at Her Little Guilty Pleasures due to reasons that I mentioned in this post . ********************* I have been freaking out about subway lately and somehow, my memory of meeting a Canadian guy who can speak Bahasa Indonesia rushed in. I met this guy at a subway station, in case you're wondering about the relation of subway and a Canadian guy who can speak fluent Bahasa Indonesia. That winter where I spent 3 weeks in Toronto. Masa winter break first year, saya tumpang rumah seniors saya dekat Toronto selama 3 minggu. Merempat sekejap dekat tempat orang sebab time winter break tak boleh duduk dekat residence. Banyak benda baru yang saya belajar dekat Toronto masa tu. Banyak benda dekat Toronto yang buat saya excited masa tu. Salah satunya, subway . Saya tak ingat sangat masa tu saya nak pergi mana, tapi saya naik subway. Saya yakin dengan diri saya un

My Bundle of Joy

My (current) bundle of joy 😍 March 31, 2020 7:07 PM One of things that made me occupied during this MCO is watching these babies of mine. They are also one of the reasons that made my unpaid leave feel not that bad as I get to see them growing up. My hearteau~  Dusty, Haru, Joey & Michie, please grow up to be a manja and dengar cakap cat, okay?  πŸ’“

My Songs of April 2020

Hello everyone! I've decided to post My Songs of April 2020 a little bit earlier as I would like to avoid posting anything related to entertainment during Ramadan. So, here we are. Also, I'm not so sure if I will post my Songs of May 2020 as well due to the same reason. Anyway, the past days of April were all about literally feeling hot all the times and acceptance. I'm not sure about you but the heat for almost the past month has been killing me. It was just so hot, no? As for the acceptance portion, I was all about, "Okay. Whatever. Next?" Jo Jung Seok (쑰정석) - Aloha (μ•„λ‘œν•˜ ) Hospital Playlist is currently my favourite drama among the currently airing dramas. So, it's a no-brainer that I get hooked on its OST. Love Jo Jung Seok's voice πŸ’“ Bonus: I actually love the drama version more. It's so fun, funny and heartwarming πŸ˜‚ Aloha (μ•„λ‘œν•˜ ) Joy (쑰이) - Introduce Me a Good Person (쒋은 μ‚¬λžŒ 있으면 μ†Œκ°œμ‹œμΌœμ€˜) Not a fan of Joy but I l

Brown Sugar Deerioca Creme Brulee @ The Alley, Hongdae

Had a chance to go to The Alley, Hongdae when I went to South Korea last year. I actually didn't know that South Korea has The Alley until I saw few people holding the The Alley's cups. It took me two days to figure out the location of The Alley, Hongdae though I walked along the road everyday. lol.  If I read the banner correctly, The Alley, Hongdae just opened that week. They didn't even have the official opening ceremony yet. At that time, they had this promotion for their reusable cups. If I read it correctly  (sorry, I don't really understand Hangul so I just roughly guessed based on my limited understanding),  they were selling their reusable cups for KRW 3,000 and you'll get KRW 1,000 discount if you bring their reusable cups everytime you purchase the drinks from The Alley. The Alley, Hongdae Anyway, I found few interesting things from my visit to The Alley, Hongdae. Firstly, they used cute and sturdy reusable cups if you're drinkin

When You Have to Go for Unpaid Leave

Have you read my post;  How Does COVID-19 Situation Affect My Life?   If you haven't, let me fill you in real quick. One of the concerns that I raised in the post was about my job. As previously mentioned, my management said they will not ask us to go for unpaid leave, let alone retrenching. However, if the situation becomes worse, they probably have to take a drastic measure. The time for a drastic measure is finally here. I just finished off a meeting with my management and to no surprise, I was asked to go for an unpaid leave for 3 months (for now). This was not a surprise for me because I have seen this coming due to the nature of the industry itself and ever since the government announced the MCO. As such, I was kinda prepared for this bad news. Thankfully, I have got enough savings to survive the next 3 months, insya Allah. I just have to work on my motivation, my self confidence, and my self worth right now. & One thing that I felt grateful from
