I found this book; Soulmates: The Quest for Meaningful Relationships in my youngest sister's room. Honestly, I was surprised to see that she has this book but knowing her dreams and state of mind, I understand why this book appeals to her.
As for me, this book reinforces my understanding and point of view of so-called romantic relationships. It also provides an answer to a question that has been lingering in my mind. A question that I was afraid to ask out loud. For that, I thank you, Mizi Wahid 🙏
"Soulmates do not understand dates and timelines. They arrive when they are supposed to.
And they leave when their time has expired. Time belongs to God. We surrender to Him.
But we do our best to cherish the special souls that He blesses us with in our lives."
"A true soulmate is someone who shows up when everyone else is eager to walk out on you.
A special soulmate is someone who defends your honour in your absence.
An ultimate soulmate is someone who believes in you even in times when you are doubting your own ability."
"...maybe more time should be invested in trying to be the right person,
instead of being so singularly focused on trying to find the right person.
So you transition from searching, to becoming."
"Beautiful things await those who work diligently, and wait patiently,
while placing their trust in God completely."
"The value of my faith is highest not when everything is fine.
It is highest when I believe even in the dark.
In the pits of gloom and uncertainty.
I believe in His light and mercy."
I found a video of Omar Suleiman that complements this book. I love the video and I hope you'll find it beneficial 💙
"Romance is just like rizq - it's not something everyone is going to have in this dunya."
