RMO Day #5

I was supposed to work the night shift today but I received a series of WhatsApp messages from our manager earlier this morning saying that we are now closed starting from today until further notice. Honestly, that was such welcoming news because all I have wanted to do ever since the COVID-19 outbreak is to just stay at home.

RMO Day #5

Well, I actually had a plan to stay at home way before the RMO was announced. I already applied to go on leave this March 28 to April 4. My main reasons for applying for leave were because I needed a break to freshen up my mind and to prevent burnout. I also want to spend some time alone in the comfort of my home.

Of course, everything has changed ever since the COVID-19 and RMO. I continuously feel overwhelmed by the non-stop updates regarding the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia that I don't think I can freshen up my mind even though I'm now off from my work.

But, life still needs to go on, right?

So, I have listed a few things that I plan to do in the next two weeks while ensuring that my mental health will not be compromised.

1. Go to Twitter less frequently than before - so that I don't have to read non-stop updates regarding COVID-19. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss, no?
2. Deep clean my room, and probably my house too?
3. Play with my cats and kittens.
4. Start exercising.
5. Read more books.
6. Find ways to renew my iman, insya Allah.

Hopefully, I'll come out as a better and more optimistic person at the end of these two weeks. Please pray for me? 🙏

  5. I think a lot have changed too - it is something new to me, I mean to all of us. Day by day we try something new to make for time that we have, and I am loving it a lot. I definitely second the idea of going online (well except for gamezzzzz hehe), there is too much information which can lead to saturation. You make a good choice :D

May Allah grants us happiness and peace :)

    1. Yes, a lot of changes have happened since then. Unlike you, I'm not sure if I like it. Mainly because I'm a creature of habit. I do not fancy changes as much as other people would.

Insya Allah, may Allah shower us with His endless blessings ^^

  7. It's wonderful that you got to stay home finally. We really need that. It also seems that you got a good plan to spend the time. Keeping yourself productive ought to make you feel better and that's pretty much it. I'm so tempted to just uninstall twitter for the time being but then i work in a hospital, there's no two way about it tbh lol

    1. Yes, it's really wonderful but now I have so much time on my hands to be overwhelmed by the constant news of COVID-19 T__T

Hopefully I can be more productive and will be more positive in the next 2 weeks by doing all things that I have planned.

As for you, hopefully you'll be safe and sound, insya Allah.

  11. I wish I am that productive. Since I don't have a job, RMO feels like a normal day to me except merrier since everyone's home and I am happy about that part. Other than that, it's just another normal day to me.
Hopefully you'll get to achieve all you have listed above.
