Manis Kitchen, Itaewon

Image
I have been continuously exposed to the existence of Manis Kitchen, Itaewon prior to my 2019 trip, thanks to the Instagram. I naturally made a mental note to pay a visit to the Manis Kitchen if I ever get another chance to go to South Korea. So, off I went to the Manis Kitchen, Itaewon during one of days in 2019 when I was in South Korea. It is hard to miss the Manis Kitchen as you'll pass by the shop if you're heading to the  Seoul Central Mosque (서울 중앙성원).  After all, the shop is painted with Selangor's colours.  #justkidding  Manis Kitchen (마니스 분식), Itaewon (이태원) As far as I know, Manis Kitchen is the only halal snack bar in South Korea or in Seoul, at least. They serve halal street food. So, this is the place that you want to go if want to eat halal everything. I believe the menu are seasonal so they probably will serve different type of snacks depending on the seasons. I went to the Manis Kitchen in summer so I missed out some things that I really

My Songs of March 2020

Image
As always, March has always been a special month to me. So, I've always wanted March to be the month where positivity and happiness continuously to surround me. Pretty sure I have failed miserably because I remember that I was being so negative in the first quarter of March and I was so demotivated and devastated in the second quarter of March. There's also another thing that has been bugging me. I don't like toxic people in my life but somehow, sometime in this March, I was the toxic person in someone's life. For that, I feel guilty and I am eternally sorry to everyone who was affected by my toxicity. G-DRAGON - Untitled, 2014 (무제) G-DRAGON & BIGBANG are definitely not my cup of tea. Ever. However, I do listen to them once in a while especially if the song has the same vibe like Untitled, 2014. MoonMoon (문문)- Paint (물감)  Man, I don't even like this MoonMoon guy because of his criminal record but I kinda love this song. Listened to thi

RMO Day #5

Image
I was supposed to work night shift today but I received a series of Whatsapp messages from our manager earlier this morning saying that we are now closed starting from today until further notice. Honestly, that was such a welcoming news because all I want to do ever since the COVID-19 outbreak is to just stay at home. Well, I actually had a plan to stay at home way before the RMO was announced. I already applied to go for leave this March 28 to April 4. My main reasons to apply for leave were because I need a break to freshen up my mind and to prevent burnout. I also want to spend some time alone in comfort of my home. Of course everything has changed ever since the COVID-19 and RMO. I continuously feel overwhelmed by the non-stop updates regarding the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia that I don't think I can freshen up my mind even though I'm now off from my work. But, life still need to go on, right? So, I have listed few things that I plan to do in the n

How Does COVID-19 Situation Affect My Life?

Image
The COVID-19 outbreak has affected my life so much that I consistently feel my quality of life has significantly decreased ever since it first happened. It especially affects my mental health so much that I actually feel tired about living. Photo by  Martin Sanchez  on  Unsplash I always have this feeling that I'm actually prone to be infected because I work at the airport. Then, I tend to worry if somehow I'll spread the virus to anyone especially to my family, or my parents to be exact because they have a lot of health complications, if I ever got infected. I know, what an imagination but I can't help to overthink. I'm taking as many precautions as I can to avoid this from happening so I hope I will never get infected by the COVID-19 virus. Please pray for me 🙏 Besides that, the business of my workplace also has significantly going down. We're struggling to be honest. In one of our recent meetings, we were informed that there will be no

Coconut Float Smoothie @ Fruitlala, Central i-City

Image
I just have to share the goodness that it Coconut Float Smoothie from Fruitlala, Central i-City. This is hands down the best coconut float smoothie or coconut shake that I have ever had! It was so sweet (the kind of sweet that that I like), so coconut-y, so cold, and so good! Honestly 1 cup was not enough for me. I wanted to buy another cup but I was worried about my glucose level, so I settled with just 1 cup. Coconut Float Smoothie MYR 9.00 & Yes, it beat the Coconut Shake from Sangkaya! In terms of price and taste! I mean, I love Sangkaya's Coconut Shake but this Coconut Float Smoothie from Fruitlala was just on another level. lol 😁 I'm so going to buy the Coconut Float Smoothie from Fruitlala again but first let me check if I have anyone willing to drive me to the Central i-City. Hahaha. Otherwise, it would be just a (sad) dream 😂

Dear A,

Image
Dear A, Yesterday was one of the rare days that I miss you.  You rarely come across my mind but when you do, you hit me real hard with that short memory of us.  It's been about 7 years since we first met each other eh? Time flies so fast that I couldn't believe that we came into each other lives 7 years ago. Talking about you to one of my colleagues for the first time after so many years made me realize that maybe, just maybe, I do wish that I could turn back time, make a different decision and give us a chance. As AJ Rafael said, maybe we could happen. Anyway putting the regrets behind, I sincerely hope life is treating you really well wherever you are 😊  And  I hope you'll remember me once in a while though I probably only exist in your distant memory 💓 Hopefully our paths will cross again in the future? In the future of where we both are happy with our own lives; of where we have no regrets about the decisions that we made in our lives; of where

My Experience Attending the Interview for Foundation in TESL UiTM

Image
I have never shared my experience attending any interviews post-SPM (i.e. JPA, IPG and this Foundation in TESL UiTM) mainly because I was busy being a hermit back then. I cut my online presence 100% until I was about to further my study on that June. Additionally, I was traumatized after I was involved in an accident. So, there's that. Anyway, I'm finally here and ready to share my experience attending the interview for Foundation in TESL UiTM after few of my acquaintances requested me to do so. Again, I like to remind you that this may not be relevant anymore as this was almost a decade ago. Having said that, I have done some research and it seems like UiTM barely does any changes as a lot of people had similar experience like me. Photo by Hunters Race on Unsplash Tip:  Come early, dress for the day (do not overdress or underdress!) and make sure you have your documents ready! First impression matters, okay? :) I went for my Foundation in TESL UiTM intervie

MB Churros with Chocolate Sauce @ Marrybrown, klia2

Image
I wanted to try the churros from Marrybrown after reading Cik Suerin's post about the said churros. I know, I got easily influenced. lol. So, off I went to the Marrybrown, klia2 during my break recently. MB Churros with Chocolate Sauce MYR 7.90 (airport outlet price) As I bought the churros at the airport, the price is higher than other outlets. Cik Suerin bought it for MYR 5.90, I bought mine at MYR 7.90 (though I paid less due to staff discount). Still, I think the price is reasonable? The churros itself was not that special because it tasted like any other churros that I have ever had. However, I still liked the churros because it was quite crispy yet chewy :D As for the chocolate sauce, it deserved a praise. I don't really like anything chocolate except Kinder Bueno but the chocolate sauce was quite good. It was not too thick and too sweet. It was just nice? I probably wouldn't buy it again but that is because I'm not a fan of dessert, not bec

Sangkaya, Banting

Image
I was so surprised when I first learned that Sangkaya will open in Banting few years ago. My reaction was like, "Seriouslah? Dekat Banting? Woah, Banting dah maju!"  Naturally, I tried to find the Sangkaya store in Banting when I first got back from Canada. To my dismay, the store location is not strategic at all! I mean, my family rarely go to that side of Banting. We only pass by that location whenever we're heading out to other places. As such, it's kinda hard for me to ask my dad or my sisters to drive me to Sangkaya, Banting. Coconut Shake @ Sangkaya MYR 9.90 Nothing much to say except that I loved every sip of it. After all, I'm the definition of #nutsaboutcoconuts lol. The only thing that made me a little bit upset was they increased the price in less than a week :( Coconut Ice-Cream @ Sangkaya Tasted like coconut. lol. Okaylah, like a real coconut. Hehe. For this one that I ordered, I got the coconut flesh together with

Naughty Natas @ Nando's, gateway@klia2

I was craving Portuguese egg tart this past few weeks that I felt I will cry and become a moody bitch if I didn't get it fulfilled. On top of my head, I should just head to the IOI City Mall and go this one store if I really want to have one but unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to drive me  #nasiborangtakdelesen Naughty Natas @ Nando's Malaysia Thankfully, I didn't have to be a moody bitch that I despise so much because Nando's currently has this Naughty Natas in their menu. I'm not sure if it's seasonal or not but I've been seeing the Naughty Natas standee in front of Nando's, gateway@klia2 for at least 3 months? Anyway, I bought a box of Naughty Natas (take away) thanks to my kind-hearted colleague who bought it on my behalf because your home girl didn't have time to dine in at the Nando's, so thanks again to my superstar colleague!  Buy 5 free 1 Naughty Natas @ Nando's Malaysia MYR 26.80 (take away pr

What is 1119 (GCE-O) on Your SPM Result Slip?

Image
What is 1119 (GCE-O) on my SPM result slip? | This is one of the most common questions that I get around this time of the year. I'm not sure if whatever I put here is still relevant and the most accurate answer because it's been almost a decade since I took my SPM but, this is what I've always been told. I hope it will help those who are looking for an explanation :) 1119   shows the grade of your whole English papers (Paper 1 -  the essays  & Paper 2 -  the MCQs, the reading comprehension, and the literature components ). This is the one listed along with other subjects as you can see down below. Meanwhile,  1119 (GCE-O)  is the grade of your Paper 1 (the essays) graded according to the British standard. It can be seen at the bottom of your result slip. Again, only your writing is graded. So, you probably will get a higher grade for 1119 (GCE-O) if you are good at writing or you will get a lower grade if you are average or bad at writing. 1119 (GCE-O)
